A case story approach will model ways to use assessment information from the Desired Results Developmental Profile (2015) in conjunction with Embedded Instruction for Early Learning intervention strategies for young children with diverse abilities in preschool settings. Participants will gain knowledge and awareness of the processes to strengthen the link between the DRDP (2015) and the IEP/ IFSP to develop a priority learning target. We will unpack the four components of Embedded Instruction and associated teaching practices to amplify how embedded instruction can help practitioners to plan for, implement, and evaluate child progress toward the learning target to inform instructional decisions.
