Building Shared Belief to Empower AAC Users - An Open Access Project

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

This session is designed to build the knowledge and skill that EVERY person who supports a student with complex communication needs should demonstrate in order to foster the student's skill development with augmentative & alternative forms of communication (AAC). When the whole team has a shared understanding and is working together to support and honor multimodal communication with core words and a variety of language functions, this empowers the AAC user to advocate for their needs and preferences and creates more inclusive opportunities for meaningful participation in academic and social settings.
