Successful implementation of Inclusion is a real-world educational challenge. Educators juggle to make sure that ALL children feel supported intellectually and academically, and are extended a sense of belonging regardless of identity or learning abilities. Research shows that inclusive education has positive short-term and long-term effects for all students which is why it is imperative to create an inclusive classroom environment.

In this session, participants will engage in Design Challenge Learning, a creative problem solving process. Collaboration with other experts will be used to create an inclusive calming space in which students feel safe recognizing and regulating their emotions in a healthy way.
